Prayer is essential to any effective action. Each week at TheEFC.ca/TakeAction we rotate through a prayer request from each of these five areas:

Sanctity of Life
Care for the Vulnerable
Church and Mission
Family and Community
Religious Freedom.

We also list an EFC affiliate group to pray for.

This Week’s Prayer Prompts  

This week’s prayer request is about freedom of religion.

Pray offering thanks to God for the freedom to worship we currently enjoy and for boldness to follow God’s calling to be salt and light. Pray also for our nation to recognize the value of freedom of worship and to allow religious communities to exist and flourish.

Each week we also list an affliate organization to pray for. This week, pray for Voice of the Martyrs. VOM’s motivation has always been to encourage and empower persecuted Christians to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20); to provide practical relief and spiritual support to the families of Christian martyrs (Matthew 25:36); to equip persecuted Christians to love and win to Christ those opposed to the Gospel (Romans 12:14); to help believers rebuild their lives and Christian witness in countries where they have formerly suffered oppression (Nehemiah 1:3; 2:5); and to promote the fellowship of all believers by informing the world of the faith and courage of persecuted Christians (Hebrews 13:3; Galatians 6:2).
