Pray

Prayer is essential to any effective action. Each week at TheEFC.ca/TakeAction we rotate through a prayer request from each of these five areas:

Sanctity of Life
Care for the Vulnerable
Church and Mission
Family and Community
Religious Freedom.

We also list an EFC affiliate group to pray for.

This Week’s Prayer Prompts  

This week's prayer prompt is about religious freedom internationally.

Pray for boldness, strength and help for those being persecuted; for repentance and redemption of the persecutors; and for laws that protect religious freedom to be passed and upheld. Pray for Christians to care and act on behalf of the persecuted; for Canadian government officials to take action on behalf of those persecuted around the world.

Each week we also list an EFC affiliate organization to pray for. This week, pray for Voice of the Martyrs, whose purpose is to encourage and empower persecuted Christians to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).; provide practical relief and spiritual support to the families of Christian martyrs (Matthew 25:36); equip persecuted Christians to love and win to Christ those opposed to the Gospel (Romans 12:14); help believers rebuild their lives and Christian witness in countries where they have formerly suffered oppression (Nehemiah 1:3; 2:5); and promote the fellowship of all believers by informing the world of the faith and courage of persecuted Christians, thereby inspiring believers to a deeper level of commitment to Christ and involvement in His Great Commission (Hebrews 13:3; Galatians 6:2).
