EFC events in Atlantic Canada
The EFC has a special series of upcoming events in Atlantic Canada.
EFC President David Guretzki will speak at Tidal Church in Moncton, N.B., on March 30 and welcome pastors to a ministerial luncheon on April 2 at Hillside Baptist Church, Moncton.
Guretzki and EFC researcher Lindsay Callaway will also lead Faith Matters workshops on May 3 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Moncton. Guretzki will be talking about medical assistance in dying, why the threat of its expansion persists, and how we as Christians can respond. Callaway will share about the Parenting Faith research on how parents and grandparents can disciple their children in the home.
EFC president reflects on prayer in turbulent times
What does it mean that God is our refuge? EFC president and resident theologian David Guretzki has recorded a video message based on his recent column from FaithToday.ca/CrossConnections.
EFC job opportunity
The EFC is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager for a hybrid position in Ottawa. This role includes leading the dynamic EFC communications team, strengthening the EFC’s brand, coordinating the EFC’s various communications platforms, and more. See TheEFC.ca/Jobs.
Strategies to connect with youth
A recent study by Barna Research describes today’s teens as The Open Generation because of their generally positive view of Jesus and desire to learn more about Him. If you are a member of an older generation hoping to engage with today’s youth, Thriving in Digital columnist Joanna la Fleur offers some tips “to build authentic relationships both online and offline.”

Charitable receipt for January and February 2025
On January 23 the federal government released draft legislation to extend the 2024 charitable donation deadline to February 28, 2025. This change gives Canadians the option to claim their January and February 2025 donations in their 2024 tax return. Parliament will be asked to approve this change retroactively when it returns.
To keep costs down, the EFC will only be sending receipts for January and February donations upon request (by email at efc@theEFC.ca or by phone at 1-866-302-3362). All requests made by March 31 will be processed in April and delivered by April 15.
