Bill would reduce sexual exploitation online

The EFC supports Bill C-270, a private member’s bill that would protect Canadians from the impacts of having their intimate images shared online. The EFC will make a submission in support of the legislation to the parliamentary committee analyzing the bill. You can send letters of support for this bill to local MPs to increase the chances of the bill passing. See a sample letter and more information at TheEFC.ca/C-270

Clemenger. “Religious freedom affords us the public space to respectfully engage one another about our beliefs and truth claims.” Read the rest of his column in the May/Jun issue of Faith Today

Will your church observe World Refugee Sunday in June?

The World Evangelical Alliance calls on churches to observe World Refugee Sunday on or near to June 20 and participate in prayer and action, responding in practical ways to God’s call to love the stranger as yourself. Using the hashtags #WorldRefugeeSunday and #RefugeeHighway, churches can share about their activities on social media and inspire others to join. Information, resources and useful links are now available at TheEFC.ca/World-Refugee-Sunday.
