10 December 2024

A letter from an editor

Karen Stiller, one of two senior editors at Faith Today, has news to share. An advance peek at the Behind the Scenes column from our Jan/Feb 2025 issue.

Supporting Canadian pastors in addressing social issues

This fall the EFC held simultaneous gatherings for Toronto-area pastors and national denominational leaders. EFC missiologist Jon Fuller reflects why both are important in a new post at TheEFC.ca.

Collaboration in Quebec

The new think tank Station M is evidence of increasingly successful partnering among francophone evangelical churches, according to a new report at FaithToday.ca.

Crucial bill to prevent online exploitation

Bill C-270, which would prevent online exploitation, is being debated in the House of Commons. See the EFC’s quick explanation of how Bill C-270 can prevent devastating, lifelong consequences for those whose images are uploaded and distributed online. An email or phone call from you would encourage your MP to support it.

Donating during postal strike

Like other charitable organizations, the EFC receives a large portion of its annual donations during this time of the year. Your financial gifts are crucial to determining what types of initiatives we can undertake. During the Canada Post strike, we want to remind you that the EFC has an easy-to-use and secure online donation form. Or we would be happy to speak with you by phone at 1-866-302-3362. Thank you for supporting the EFC!

Government of Alberta consults on MAiD

The Government of Alberta is asking Alberta residents to fill out a survey to give feedback on safeguards and the oversight of MAiD. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your views. Alberta residents are encouraged to participate by December 20 and to share the survey with Alberta friends, family and church network.
