Government of Alberta consults on MAiD

The Government of Alberta is asking Alberta residents for feedback on safeguards and the oversight of MAiD. This is an important opportunity to engage. Please participate in this survey if you live in Alberta and pass it along to Alberta residents in your network.

Where did the phrase devil’s advocate come from?

Did you know the phrase “devil’s advocate” once referred to someone who analyzed the authenticity of miracles during the Catholic Church’s process of evaluating candidates for sainthood? Read more from Tyndale University history instructor Taylor Murray.

You can read History Lesson columns like this in the EFC’s bimonthly magazine Faith Today when you subscribe to the print version, free now in Canada.

Online and phone donations

As with other charitable organizations, the EFC receives a large portion of its annual donations during this time of year. Your financial gifts are crucial to determining what types of initiatives we are able to undertake. During the Canada Post strike, we want to remind you that the EFC has an easy-to-use and secure online donation form for your use. Or we would be happy to speak with you by phone at 1-866-302-3362. Thank you for supporting the EFC!
