Research explores impact of social media use on faith of Canadian youth
The #influencing_faith_study (IFS) is a research partnership of the EFC and 11 affiliate organizations investigating how social media engagement affects the faith of Canadian youth engaged in Canadian evangelical youth ministries. The study also explores how Canadian evangelical youth ministry workers use social media in their ministries. Download a copy of the research plan.
New video: Social enterprise founded in Ontario church
Paris Community Church in Ontario was the starting location for a soup-making social enterprise that is now ten years old and expanding to new locations. The Raw Carrot started out by hiring local people who faced barriers to typical employment. They cook gourmet soup that is now sold in grocery stores, farmers' markets and other places. Staff have found community, purposeful employment and some extra income (especially needed by anyone trying to get by on the Ontario Disability Support Program). EFC president to give seminar on MAiD
EFC President David Guretzki will speak at the Berean Church of God in Edmonton, Aug. 24-25. He will give a seminar on MAiD on Saturday, Aug. 24 and will speak at the Sunday service on Aug. 25.
